10 X 12 1/2
Warm golden Curly Maple meets vivid blue and violet in this carved and painted hollow form. Its rounded body tapers toward an uneven, sculptural opening, while winding bands of textured color divide broad areas of smooth, exposed wood.
Rippling maple figure and concentric grain patterns bring subtle movement to the natural surface. Between them, carved grooves and pockets create a rugged relief, with bright blue and purple highlights tracing the raised details against darker recesses. The pattern changes around the form, revealing a different balance of grain, color, and texture from every side.
Handcrafted as one-of-a-kind decorative art, this piece makes a striking focal point on a console or open shelf, where its sculptural silhouette and contrasting surfaces can be appreciated from multiple angles.
